A series of small volumes define a retail corner along a main avenue in Bogota. Housing multiple spaces, the new building brings together a cafe, bakery, restaurant and retail space. By breaking down the scale of the large lot into smaller components, the building’s presence is minimized to resonate with the surrounding residential context. Triangular cutouts in the cast in place concrete walls open the facade to better connect at side-walk level while revealing life within. An intimate garden tucked behind the building connects all the public spaces with food production areas in the rear.
